We've gathered lots of fun baby shower games for Christmas to help you create a successful and memorable Christmas baby shower!
It's also best to take a look at our General Baby Shower Game Page and check out lots more fun baby shower games your guests can play at the baby shower. You can even 'tweak' a few of them to fit your Christmas baby shower theme.
Christmas and Baby Drawings
For this game, two people sit back to back. One of them is given some kind of Christmas and/or Baby object – an ornament, a toy, a kitchen object, a rattle, a bottle, a baby bib, etc., and the other is given a paper and marker, pen, or pencil. The person with the object cannot reveal what object it is, but needs to describe to the person drawing what it looks like (for example, “it is a long object, there is a diagonal coming from the bottom left to the top right, now draw a circle on the top”, etc.). The quality of the final picture depends of course on how well the person describes it and how well the interpreter interprets it. The outcome can be very funny!
Guess How Many Christmas Candies
This is a simple game. Put lots of Christmas candies in a baby bottle (the candies can be red and green M&M's, jelly-beans, life-savers, etc. You can also throw in another color to the red and green candies, something that suits the gender of the child - like pink or blue). Each guest needs to guess the amount of Christmas candies there are in the baby bottle. The closest one, wins the baby bottle with the Christmas candies in it!
Marshmallow Snowball Toss
Pair up your guests. Give each pair 10 marshmallows (5 each). Have them stand a few feet from each other. Each guest tries to toss the marshmallows into his teammate's mouth. The team that catches the most 'snowballs' wins.
Pregnant Belly Reindeer Antlers
Here is another one of those fun baby shower games for Christmas. Divide your group into teams of two to four people. Give each group a pair of pantyhose (not the really tight ones… you want ones that are looser). Give each team eight balloons. On the mark of "GO" the race starts, and the teams start blowing up the balloons and stuffing them into the pantyhose. Once all the balloons are stuffed inside the pantyhose (4 in each leg), someone has to wear the “reindeer antlers” and needs to sing the first verse of “Jingle Bells”. The first team to finish – is the winning team. This is great for a group Christmas picture – you can also let everyone finish making their antlers and photograph all the “reindeer” together.
Giving Birth to... Santa (?!)
This can be an hilarious game to play! You will need to do a few things a day before the party. Take plastic cups, fill with water, and throw into each a little Santa Claus figurine that fits into each plastic cup (you can probably find little Santa figurines online or at the dollar store). Put all the cups on a tray and in the freezer to freeze overnight. The day of the party, give each guest a frozen cup. The person whose water breaks first (melts the ice and "gives birth" to the Santa figurine) is the winner! The guests can try all kinds of ways to melt the ice - getting closer to the sun, blowing hot air, licking, etc.; let them be creative (just don't get them close to a microwave, their plastic cup will melt!).
You can also mix and match by using other Christmas-related figurines like: Elves, Reindeer, etc.
A simpler idea is to use round-red candies and put one in each cup. That way the guests have to 'give birth' to Rudolf's nose.
Blind Christmas Tree Ripping
For this game you need green construction paper. Give everyone a chance in attempting to rip a sheet of green construction paper (behind their back) into the shape of a Christmas tree (they mustn’t look at their trees, only when they have finished creating their tree). Once they’ve finished ripping, and before they look, give them little stickers to decorate their tree with. Once all done, hang everyone’s tree up and let the mother-to-be choose the best looking tree.
As we all know, a very fun way for getting everyone into the Christmas spirit is Christmas Caroling.. You can even go around the neighborhood or in a park and sing. Here are lyrics to 16 of the most popular carols you can print out and give to each caroler.
The 12 Days of (Baby) Christmas!
The "12 Days of Christmas" is known to be a tough song! With this game the guests are put to the test! The first player starts by saying "On the first day of Christmas, my true love game to me..." and then the name of a baby item (for example: baby rattle, diaper, teether, etc.). The second player sings the first day of Christmas and then sings the 2nd day of Christmas (also adding another baby item). Each subsequent person must sing everything already mentioned, in the proper order, and then add one more item. If you forget an item or list them out of order, you're "out." The last person still in the game is the winner.
Christmas Baby Names
Prepare sheets saying "CHRISTMAS" (listed vertically down the left-hand side of the page). The guests and mother-to-be will have 5 to list both a boy and girl name for each letter of the word. The guest with the most answers in common with the mother-to-be wins a prize!
